WASHINGTON, DC (April 8, 2004): Morten Beyer & Agnew ("MBA") announced today that they have selected FJLeonelli Group, Inc.(FJLGi) as a strategic partner to provide certified safety and security auditors for MBA's Operational Safety Audit program.
Morten Beyer & Agnew is currently in the final stages of becoming an accredited audit organization under the auspices of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The IATA accreditation will qualify the MBA-FJLGi team to perform IATA Operational Safety Audits for airlines around the world. The IATA Operational Safety Audit Program (IOSA) relies on teams of trained and certified auditors. The audit program will allow audit sharing between airlines, civil aviation authorities and other interested parties. The MBA program will use common audit standards developed by IATA that have been accepted by airlines world-wide as essential for operational safety.
"MBA is extremely pleased to be working with FJLeonelli Group as we see strong synergies between our current activities in aviation safety and security," said Bob Agnew, President of MBA. "By coupling our technical staffs, we will have the capabilities to perform approximately twenty-four airline audits a year."
"The strategic alliance between MBA is an exciting development for both companies," said Fred Leonelli, President of FJLeonelli Group, Inc. "Our company has been providing safety audit services for the code share partners of major US airline alliances for the past four years. The IATA Operational Safety Audits will better serve this important function and we are excited to be aligned with MBA for this program".
